Book Signing at Bilbrew Library Raven L. Smith will discuss and sign her book about living with lupus at A.C. Bilbrew Library, 150 E. El Segundo Blvd. on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 2:30 p.m. Smith is a 14 year-old author who has been diagnosed with the disease. Her special guest will be Lou Rawls, Jr. The event is free and open to the public.

15 years ago today, Tupac Shakur was shot four times in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center, where he died 6 days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.

Popsie knew almost everyone in the business from the highest execs to the man on the street. I’ve been doing research for his estate now for almost a decade and everyone seems to agree that if you needed a shot or a favor, Popsie was your man!
Here’s a casual shot he did for Billboard Magazine when Lou Rawls stopped by there to visit Director of Reviews and Charts, Don Ovens on November 19th, 1969.

If there was one song I would’ve liked Michael to cover, I think it would be this song. He was all about magic, creating & the “pure imagination”. :)
